The Community Health unit strives to improve access, health equity and patient outcomes in a sustainable way in countries around the world. The focus of the unit is to reach underserved patient populations that are not reached through our core commercial business model. The Community Health Lead, Mexico is responsible for co-designing and driving the implementation of a local Community Health model in partnership with the Novartis International Country Organization. This includes establishing a deep understanding of the local NCD health ecosystem, working closely with local partners and stakeholders to co-design effective NCD interventions, driving implementation, and working collaboratively with the Mexico Country Organization and the Global Health team.
About the Role

Program Design and Management: Drive end-to-end process for local program scoping, design & implementation – in close alignment with Mexico Country Organization and Global Health teams. This includes identifying key internal and external priorities, supporting the design of interventions, identifying key partners, establishing M&E frameworks and managing project workplan/timelines. Once launched, work with partners to drive operational excellence, setting expectations, problem solving and effectively monitoring progress and impact.Access Solution Development : In close partnership with Mexico Country Organization and local partners, co-develop product access strategy for underserved populations, including pricing, distribution & promotion as needed. Support business case development including sales/patient reach and investment assessment. Drive build-up and management of local Global Health and/or 3rd party resources if needed for execution.Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Development: Collaborate with a broad network of stakeholders to support co-designing of initiatives, key policy changes and to build local capacity for long-term impact. Work effectively with internal cross-functional teams/resources as needed (e.g., V&A, Global Health, CRM TA/Commercial, Finance, Medical, P&O, Public Affairs, Legal/ERC).Impact Evaluation and Communication: Support design of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track the impact and effectiveness. Own local monitoring of program KPIs. Use data and evidence to inform decision-making, identify areas for improvement, and document success stories.
Key performance indicators:
Successful implementation of Community Health Model in line with plan and within the anticipated timelines. Successful partnerships with local stakeholders and positioning of Community Health Model as a trusted approach to improving population health Identification of sustainability pathways for impactful interventions Feedback from internal/external partners on effective communication and perceived success of program
Essential Requirements:
5+ years working in the pharmaceutical industry or global health Strong knowledge of the local healthcare landscape Excellent project management skills, strong presentation skills and data-driven/quantitative mindset Preference for experience designing and implementing health system strengthening programs, and/or access or policy efforts (e.g. innovative access models, policy/advocacy initiatives, patient support program, etc.) Experience in NCD/CVD and/or chronic disease space preferred Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to form trusted relationships easily and bring diverse experiences and backgrounds together effectively Flexible and learning mind-set, able to work in multiple technical and therapeutic areas in parallel

Fluent Spanish and English.
